The B5379 was a route which roughly paralleled the A6 in central Bedford. It started by St Pauls Church, immediately north of the A6 bridge over the River great Ouse, and after winding round the church headed north immediately to the west of the A6. Instead of continuing on Harpur Street to the A428, it kinked left and followed the first bit of St Loves Street to meet the A428. The section past the church is now part of the A600 loop.
