The B5318 is a short link road in the southern suburbs of Bootle. It was originally unclassified and owing to the short length of the road it is not known when it gained its number; it definitely had Class II status by the mid-1950s, however.
The road starts on the A5056 Bankhall Street and heads more-or-less northwards along Brasenose Street. This does not have the air of a classified road, rather an access road to an industrial estate.
It runs through warehousing and light industry for its entire route, bearing gradually right as it does so. It's not long before the end of the road at a crossroads on the A5058 Miller's Bridge.
