The B5374 is a short link road on the western side of Northwich. It was originally unclassified but owing to its short length it is not known exactly when it gained its number; however it is labelled on the 1929-30 MoT Map.
The road starts at traffic lights on the A559 Chester Road just west of a freight-only railway bridge. In this direction the road is the signposted route for northbound A533 traffic, presumably to avoid the one-way system in Northwich town centre. We head north along the suburban Moss Road for just over half a mile. The last stretch of road is lined with terraced houses on both sides, leading to journey's end at traffic lights on the A533 Winnington Lane.
