The B5357 is a short link road in Hale. It was originally unclassified but gained its number in the late 1920s.
The road starts on the B5162 just east of that road's bridge over the railway line. Unusually that road has to give way at this junction, even though the road south is unclassified. The B5357 heads north along Ashley Road, where the houses are set back behind hedges and so not always visible. We bear left by St Peter's Church and the road soon becomes lined with shops as we enter the town centre. We continue along Ashley Road to a level crossing on the Mid-Cheshire Line adjacent to the station. Immediately on this side of the railway the B5163 comes in from the right and TOTSOs to cross the line; the B5357 therefore ends here.
