The B5340 was a short road in Liverpool. Owing to its short length its history is not fully known; however, it was originally unclassified and had gained its number by the mid-1950s.
The road started on the B5178 Wavertree Road and headed north along Towerlands Street to cross the A5047 North View before continuing along Hall Lane and Low Hill to end on the A580 Brunswick Road.
Towerlands Street was later turned into part of the A5047 one-way system whilst Low Hill was upgraded to become part of the A580 dual carriageway. Following road improvements in the area, including the dualling of the A5047 and extension of the A580 both ends of Hall Lane have been stopped up and the remainder of the B5340 declassified.
