This article is about the 1922-1935 route in Caerphilly.
For the Droitwich Spa bypass, which had the A4057 number around 1980, see A4057 (Droitwich).

The A4057 was originally allocated to a short length (under 200 yards) of Bedwas Road in Caerphilly. This cut the southeast corner between the A468 (now B4600) and A469 (now B4263) outside the castle.
In 1935, it became a spur of the A469. Today, it is now part of the one-way system linking the aforementioned two B roads and can only be driven southbound.
