The A4027 ran along Moor Street in Birmingham city centre.
Starting on the A47 Dale End the road headed due south along a road destroyed when Masshouse Circus was built; this also no longer exists and the ground is currently waste.
Heading south along Moor Street the road crossed the B4132 Albert Street around the point the current line of Moor Street joins the route of the A4027. The road passed Moor Street station before continuing on to end on the A41 Bull Ring by St Martin's church; this has now been destroyed by the construction of the modern Bull Ring Centre.
The A4027 was eventually subsumed under the A4400 Birmingham Inner Ring Road, and is now part of the B4100, although as stated above the two ends no longer exist.
