Kings Hill Road in Swindon, formerly the A4015, now the A4289
The original use of A4015 was for Kings Hill Road and Bath Road in Swindon, Wiltshire, linking the A361 and A420 together to the south of the town centre.
Rather oddly, the entire route is now the A4289, which is simply a straight renumber of this route. This can be explained by the fact that the road seems to be shown as Class II in 1975 (possibly the B4006, as it fills in the gap of that road), allowing the A4015 number to be reused elsewhere.
