For the original B1182 in Boston, see B1182 (Boston).
The B1182 is a short urban B-road in the north of Lincoln. The road gained its number following construction of the A46 western bypass in the 1980s.
The road starts at traffic lights on the A15 Wragby Road and heads northwest along the residential Ruskin Avenue, which used to be numbered A1102. Many of the streets in this area are named after writers. Soon a roundabout is reached where the former A1102, now numbered B1273, continues ahead and the B1182 turns right onto the original line of the A46.
The road continues along Nettleham Road. It passes a school playing field on the left and then crosses two sets of traffic lights, the second serving an out-of-town retail park, although the road remains residential to its end, at a roundabout on the present A46.
