The B1131 is a short link road just south of Lincoln. The road was unclassified for many years but had gained its number by 1968.
The road starts on the B1188 on the edge of Canwick and heads south along a dead-straight route across the fields. After about a mile the road reaches the edge of Bracebridge Heath and bends sharply to the right. The estate on the left was built in the grounds of the old county asylum, of which many buildings still remain. The road soon becomes built-up on both sides and ends shortly afterwards at traffic lights on the A15.
