The A5000 is a short link road near Finchley, north London, between the A504 and the A598, running along part of Hendon Lane. Its short length means that its number is very rarely marked on maps.
In 1922, the A5000 started on the A502 in Finchley, before running along Finchley Lane and the full length of Hendon Lane. This meant that the A504 started on the A5000. That road was later extended along the A5000 and A502 to meet the A5, thus cutting the A5000 back to the short distance that remains.
