The A5019 is an urban link road in Crewe.
It starts at a crossroads with the A534 and B5071 and heads north along Mill Street. Passing beneath the Crewe to Chester railway line, it reaches a roundabout where it meets a spur of the A5078.
The original route of the A5019 from here was along High Street and Market Street to end on the A532 Earle Street. However, this section of road, the very centre of the new town of Crewe, has now been bypassed and partly pedestrianised. The A5019 therefore now heads to the right along the new Vernon Way to meet the A532 further east along Earle Street.
