The original A5014 was a short link road in the Shropshire town of Ellesmere.
The road started on the A528 as that bore left from Grange Road into Talbot Street. The A5014 continued ahead into Cross Street. This curved to the right to enter the town centre and end in the market place on the A495.
All the roads in Ellesmere town centre are narrow and so they have since been declassified. The former A5014 is now one-way out of town.
