This article is about the version of the B5222 in Hindley, Lancs.
For the original B5222 in Manchester, see B5222 (Manchester).
For the original B5222 in Manchester, see B5222 (Manchester).
The second version of the B5222 was a short link in the centre of the Lancashire town of Hindley. Originally unclassified, the history of the road is not fully known owing to its short length. However, the road existed by the 1950s and has now become a spur of the A577.
Starting on the A577 Wigan Road the B5222 headed eastwards along Cross Street, avoiding the crossroads in the town centre. It wasn't long before the end of the road was reached on the A58 Market Street.
