The B5209 is a short link road in south Lancashire.
The B5209 starts at a Mini-Roundabout in Haydock and heads south, between the Old and New Boston areas of Haydock, after which the road enters open countryside. The road bends slightly to the right at a signalised crossroads with a private road across a field to the A49 and an access road to a landfill site. The B5209 continues across the fields until it reaches another residential area just outside of Earlestown. The road ends here at a signalised T-junction on the A572.
