The B5212 is a rural link road in south Lancashire.
The road starts at traffic lights on the A57 at the eastern end of the Hollins Green bypass and heads north. It soon reaches Glazebrook, the only place of any size en route, where it goes over the Manchester to Warrington line by the station before reaching open country once more.
For the next couple of miles the B5212 meets no other classified roads and passes through no settlements of any size, although there are scattered houses. The road does, however, cross over the M62 and there are works-unit slip roads connecting the B-road to the motorway.
After a further distance of more than a mile of flat farmland the B5212 comes to an end. It reaches a mini-roundabout on the A574 between Culcheth and Fowley Common, although even this junction is more-or-less rural.
