The B5266 is a B-road running from Blackpool to the Fylde countryside.
The road starts at a mini-roundabout on the B5260 on the western edge of the village of Singleton. The B5260 was the original route of the A585 and the fingerpost at the junction still gives that road its Class I number.
Our road heads westward across the flat terrain of this part of the country. It crosses a drainage channel at a narrow bridge before going under the Blackpool North railway line at a bridge that is low and narrow (with priority given to traffic coming the other way). After a few sharp bends the road enters Hardhorn, on the edge of Poulton-le-Fylde. The road remains urban from this point on.
The road TOTSOs left and goes through Normoss, entering Blackpool as it does so. It then crosses the A587 at a roundabout before continuing west along the residential Newton Drive. The B5266 ends at the far end of this road at a set of traffic lights. To the right is the B5124; the A583 is in the other two directions. Blackpool Tower can be seen ahead showing where the seafront is.
