For the B4587 located in Dudley, in the Black Country, see B4587 (Dudley).
The B4587 is a short link road in the northern suburbs of Swindon. The road was originally unclassified but gained its number around 1990.
The road starts at a roundabout on the B4006 by St Mary's Church in Rodbourne Cheney. It heads west along a wide road across an expanse of grass and with an adjacent cycle path; however, this is not a typical New Town distributor as some houses do actually front onto the road. Whereas this road was in existence, albeit unclassified, before the growth of the New Town, some of the buildings clearly were not.
We cross traffic lights providing access to a school and remain suburban as we run into Haydon Wick. A roundabout is reached where the B4534 comes in from the left and takes on the road ahead; the B4587 ends here.
