The B4019 is a rural B-road to the northeast of Swindon.
It starts on the A417 in the centre of Faringdon and heads south along Coxwell Street. This is the pre-bypass route of the A420 and it is not long before the B4019 has to TOTSO right, at its original starting point.
Now heading west, the B4019 climbs Badbury Hill, whose summit is an Iron Age hillfort. It descends to Coleshill before crossing the River Cole, which marks the county boundary at this point. A couple of miles later the road reaches Highworth. The B4019 originally went along the High Street but now turns left at a double mini-roundabout to follow Brewery Street instead. This road ends at a full-size roundabout where the B4000 and A361 are met and the B4019 multiplexes north along the latter to reach the other end of the High Street, where it regains its number by turning left at traffic lights.
After a couple of miles of open country the B4019 becomes tree-lined to enter Broad Blunsdon. On the far side of the village centre it reaches a roundabout where it crosses the pre-bypass route of the A419. Immediately afterwards it meets the current route of that road. Slip roads to/from the southbound carriageway are met at traffic lights before the B4109 crosses a bridge over the A419 and ends immediately afterwards at a traffic-light-controlled T-junction on the B4534. Turn left here for access to/from the northbound A419.
