Route
The short B4441 forms a link along one of Amersham's main shopping streets.
The B4441 is short and straight and you can see the whole length in one go. Beginning on the A4154 at Sycamore Corner it runs southwestwards along Sycamore Road to the A416 at Oakfield Corner. Due to its being lined with parking, and having shoppers crossing frequently, it does not form a useful link for traffic; it is quicker to either go up to the Boot and Slipper Roundabout, or use Chiltern Avenue. Traffic for Chesham Bois from the south is signed signed at Oakfield Corner via the former route.
Trivia
The B4441 might be unique in that both ends are double mini-roundabouts.
On Tuesdays, during the day, only the middle third is open to motor vehicles, due to Amersham Market taking place on the carriageway of the road.
History
The B4441 was given Class II status in 1925, having not been originally classified. This was one year after the now-A4154 had been classified as A4090
