For the current A1010 north of London, see A1010.
The original A1010 ran in the Royal Docks from Canning Town to North Woolwich.
Starting on the A13 Barking Road the road followed Victoria Dock Road to the north of Victoria Dock. It continued onto Connaught Road which passed between the Victoria and Albert Docks before passing to the south of the latter along Albert Road into North Woolwich. The road ended on the A117 Pier Road (originally the High Street) near to the Woolwich Ferry.
Roads in Docklands have altered considerably in recent years and the ex-A1010 has changed with it. The A1011 Silvertown Way has taken over the western section of Victoria Dock Road whilst the eastern section is unclassified. The bridge over the docks has been replaced and the remainder of the road is numbered A112. However, the A1010 left the area before the docks were closed: the number was transferred onto part of the former A10 after World War II.
