For the original A1054 at Seaham, County Durham, see A1054 (Co Durham).
The A1054 connects Norwich's inner and outer ring roads in the Lakenham area of the city.
The road starts at traffic lights on the A146, where that road stops being a radial and turns westwards to form the western half of the outer ring road. The A1054 heads northeast along Martineau Lane, a landscaped road with Norfolk County Hall to the left and an industrial estate to the right.
A roundabout is soon reached. Most maps show that the road ends here but some claim the road takes a left turn onto the original route of the A146 to run a short distance along Bracondale. A set of traffic lights is met, where the A147 inner ring road has to TOTSO; the section of Bracondale that may or may not be the A1054 could well be a spur of this road.
