The A1050 was a short link road to the south of Durham city centre.
The road started on the A1 (now A167) at Farewell Hall, which is now Cock o' the North Roundabout. It then ran north along South Road and Church Street, ending on the then-A177 at the southern end of New Elvet.
The number was made redundant in the 1980s when many roads in Durham City were renumbered. The South Road section is now part of a rerouted A177 whilst Church Street is now unclassified.
