The A1074 number was assigned to a short road in the Hellesdon area of Norwich in the mid-1920s.
The road started on the A47 (now A1074) Dereham Road to the west of the city centre and headed north along Nelson Street before crossing the River Wensum. Now called Mile Cross Road, it continued in the same direction, ending on the A147 (now A1402) Aylsham Road to the north of the city centre.
The A1074 did not last long. By the end of the 1920s it had been renumbered as an extension of the A1024. It is now the whole of that road, although the narrow Nelson Street has been declassified in favour of the parallel Old Palace Road.
