For the original B735 along Luce Bay in the same county, see B735 (Glenluce - Glasserton).
The B735 is a short link road in east Wigtownshire. The route was originally unclassified but gained its present number around 1935.
The route starts on the B733 in the centre of the village of Kirkcowan and heads north east out of town along Newton Stewart Road. After passing the last houses it continues in more-or-less the same direction across fields along a series of straights. The terrain is flat to begin with but becomes more undulating as the road continues, with some small patches of woodland. An easy double bend then carries the road over an abandoned railway line, which sits down in a shallow cutting meaning the road only has to ramp up slightly. It's then not long before the A75 is reached at a staggered crossroads, marking the end of the route.
