This article is about the original B763 to the east of Glasgow city centre.
For the current B763, further in and forming a south/east bypass, see B763.
For the current B763, further in and forming a south/east bypass, see B763.
The B763 was a short link road to the east of Glasgow city centre. It started on the A74 (now A749) Dalmarnock Road in Dalmarnock, and headed roughly northwards along Springfield Road before crossing the then-A8 Gallowgate at a staggered crossroads. It then ran along Duke Street and ended soon afterwards on the A802 (now A89) Shettleston Road.
The B763 survived until the 1970s but is now unclassified. The B763 number has been reused slightly further west and the modern A728, Clyde Gateway, now follows a similar route to the west of the original B763 line.
