The B726 is a short link road in Dumfries.
It starts on the B725 Nith Bank to the south of the town centre and heads south along Kingholm Road, initially adjacent to the B725 but the roads quickly diverge and the B726 heads south alongside the River Nidd for a few hundred yards. Road and river then separate to pass either side of a cricket ground.
After a short semi-rural section the road reaches the village of Kingholm Quay. It then meets the river again and runs along it for a short distance until the road bends to the left. The B726 ends here and the road ahead is unclassified.
