The B755 forms a loop through the western suburbs of Hamilton in Lanarkshire.
The route starts at traffic lights at Peacock Cross where it meets the A72 and A724 to the west of Hamilton town centre. This junction sits almost on top of the Lanark to Glasgow railway line and has been redesigned more than once over the years. It used to be a mini roundabout but now, even with the signals, there are some prohibited turns in and out of the B755, due to the acute nature of the turn between it and the A724 to the north. The first section of the route heads west along Wellhall Road and is S4, with two lanes in each direction, primarily to separate traffic between the junctions. The next junction is quickly met, and is a signalised crossroads where the road to the north, Peacock Way, is a short spur of the B755, providing the prohibited turns at Peacock Cross. Wellhall Road is now fully residential and passes some large detached properties set in mature grounds. A mini-roundabout is soon reached, where the route turns left onto Chantinghall Road, which is also largely residential although many of the houses are set back behind trees.
A couple of areas of parkland are passed, either side of the wooded glen of the Cadzow Burn, but beyond this the locale is surprisingly green. A roundabout near the glen is crossed, with the B755 continuing southwestward onto Mill Road. For a time, this is more closely lined with interwar houses and flats, before Fairhill Park opens up on the right. Another mini roundabout is crossed, and then houses line both sides once more, although this is more modern housing with thick green hedges along the pavements. It soon comes to an end, however, with the route meeting the A723 at a mini-roundabout, surrounded by shops and with a fine old church standing on the right.
