The B784 is a short B-road in north Ayrshire, and is locally known as "Swinlees". It starts at a fork junction on the A760 (former B785) in the hills at North Hourat above Kilbirnie. The route heads south eastwards through young woodland, contouring round the side of a hill for much of its route. As it descends it passes a couple of farms and a quarry, with some windy bends between a couple of longer straights. Instead of dropping into the bottom of the valley it has been running above, it cuts across a low hill and drops around a tighter left hand bend into the next small valley. The route then follows a short straight and ends at a T-junction on the B780 (former B783) about half a mile north of Dalry.
The 1922 MOT Road List defines this route as: Burnside - Junction with B785 near Camphill
