Near the western end of the former B975 (now B993)
The original B975 was a lengthy route across Aberdeenshire which started on the A93 to the east of Kincardine O'Neil and headed north-east. It the curved round to head north through Torphins, where it crossed the A980 (originally the B976. The route then climbed into the hills, crossing a summit of nearly 300m before descending through a windier section to cross the B974 (now the B9119). The final section meandered northwards to end on the A944 at Millbank, about half way between Alford and Westhill. On 16th May 1934 it became part of an extended B993, a number which it still holds.
