The B904 was a short link road to the east of Falkirk, which started on the A9 (now A803) in Polmont and headed north along Bo'ness Road before bearing right onto Smiddy Brae. It zigzagged to cross the River Avon on the narrow Jinkabout Bridge, named after the mill which once stood on the north side, before continuing east to end on the A904.
The route survived until the 1970s, gaining a bridge where it crossed the M9, but later became unclassified with the extension of the A905 along Wholeflats Road. The western section of the A905 extension was in place by 1974, with the new bridge over the River Avon opening soon after. This then connected into the former B904 route along the north bank of the river, which was widened and a couple of wiggles were also straightened. There is currently no mapping evidence to suggest that the B904 survived the extension of the A905, so it can be presumed that it was downgraded at the time that the new bridge and road were completed.
