For the former B906 across the Forth at Alloa, see B906 (Alloa).
The current incarnation of the B906 is a modern road in Falkirk, classified in the 2000s. It links the A9 at Merchiston Roundabout to the B902 just south of the Carron Bridge. The route follows the previously unclassified Ronades Road, and is still marked as unclassified by the OS and other maps, despite being signed on the ground. The road is an uneventful distributor road, passing modern housing estates and ending on the B902 at a roundabout in the Carron district of Falkirk. There are a few side turnings and a roundabout roughly half way along, but no direct property accesses onto the road.
Although Ronades Road itself is entirely a modern distributor road, probably completed in the 1980s, the southern end runs parallel to a section of Merchiston Road which, along with Mungalhead Road, performed a similar job in the past before Falkirk grew. The construction of the new A9 route along the former railway line and then the completion of Ronades Road removed traffic from the older, residential route.
