The B967 is a fairly short B-road in south Kincardineshire, which follows the Bervie Water downstream. It still follows its original route and remains virtually unchanged from when it was first classified in 1922.
The route starts on the A90 (former A94) immediately south of Fordoun, at an at grade staggered crossroads where a gap in the central reservation provides access to and from the northbound carriageway of the trunk road. From here, the B967 heads east and soon crosses the narrow Bridge of Kair over the Bervie Water before bearing right and climbing a dead-straight road out of the valley. There are a number of roadside properties along here, looking out across the undulating fields, before a series of gentle bends lead through patchy woodland. The road levels out after a couple of sharp bends at Parkneuk and bears right to contour through the scattered settlement of Arbuthnott, with Arbuthnott House sitting at the bottom of a narrow wooded glen on the banks of the Bervie.
Still meandering eastwards, the road dips through the small side valley of the Pitcarles Burn before climbing again across the flanks of Gallow Hill. Descending again, the road dips into another small valley, for the Pitcarry Burn which drops away below the road to the Bervie Water as the road curves around the hillside. The route bears right, then left to end at a T-junction on the A92 just to the north of Inverbervie.
