The C114n starts on the A76 at the south end of the new Auldgirth Bridge and initially follows the old main road to the old bridge. It then curves round to run south west past Cairnhall, keeping left at both junctions. This leads is south to meet the C113n at Merkland, with both forks being part of the route.
