This article is about the Class III road numbered C39s maintained by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
For other roads numbered C39, see C39.
For other roads numbered C39, see C39.
The C39s starts on the C15s at Kelton and heads south west at first, winding through Rhonehouse to reach the River Dee. The river is crossed on the Old Bridge of Dee, and whilst historically the main road, it was bypassed by Threave Bridge before the A75 was created in 1922. The junction with the A75 has been realigned to form a staggered crossroads, so after a dogleg to the right, the C39s continues north to meet the C7s near Boreland.
