The C38a serves the Hillend area of Annan. It starts on the B721, High Street, and heads south along Bank Street and St Johns Road, crossing the railway near the station onto Elm Road. At the crossroads below Annan Hill, it turns right to reach the C37a, Waterfoot Road.
