This article is about the Class III road numbered C21n maintained by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
For other roads numbered C21, see C21.
For other roads numbered C21, see C21.
The C21n starts on the A701 near Over Garrel and heads south, dropping down the hill towards the Kinnel Water. Without ever reaching the riverbank, the route follows the river south towards its confluence with the Water of Ae, but diverging a little so that the C21n meets the Ae first. The Water of Ae is the old district boundary, so as the road crosses the bridge it becomes the C21a, which continues into Lochmaben.
