The B1045 was allocated to Station Road in Cambridge, connecting the A132 (later A604, now A1307) with the railway station, where it ended without meeting another classified road. It was, therefore, one of many B-roads allocated in 1922 purely to serve a station.
The road is still given Class II status on the OS 7th series map but it has since been declassified.
