For the original B21 on the Isle of Man, see B21 (Colby - Peel).
The B21 is a rather unnecessary B road, serving the few houses of East Baldwin before coming to an end at the only junction with a through route. It starts on the A22 to the north of Strang and the Island Hospital and heads north, winding up the west side of the Baldwin River. The white line disappears before the first house, and while the road is just wide enough for two cars to pass most of the time, the road width varies fairly erratically with a couple of narrow pinch points. A slight dip takes the road over the River Glass, before it resumes the climb through the trees, past a scattering of houses. A wide junction then marks the end of the route. The road to the left is somewhat wider than the B21 and cuts over the hill to the B22 at West Baldwin, while the road ahead drops to single track as it continues to climb. It is a long dead end, although the point where it changes from public road to farm drive is not obvious.
History
As originally numbered in the 1920's, the route was given the B14 number, which continued south along what is now the A22 to Union Mills. It had been renumbered as the B21 by 1963.
