Route outline (key) | ||||
|
The B4 starts at a sharp corner on the A13 a little to the east of Sandygate and heads north along Summerhill Road. A short straight between fields leads to a long sweeping left hander, and so on to a much longer straight. This comes to an end on the B3 at Jurby East. There are a few roadside properties along the route, but it is one of the most rural B roads in the north of the island, with no intermediate junctions and is only just wide enough for two cars to pass.
History
As originally numbered in the 1920's, the route was given the B8 number. It had been renumbered as the B4 by 1963.
