Route outline (key) | ||||
|
The B42 starts at a T junction on the A7 in Ballabeg, and heads north, climbing from the start. Very quickly it meets the B40 at a fork, but maintains priority as it continues to climb through the trees. Beyond the village, it winds a little across the fields, and then passes a substantial new property on the left hand side. A selection of other large, but far more modest, properties are scattered along the roadside as the gradient eases. The route steepens again after it turns a left hand bend, but it ends soon after at a T junction on the A27 as it climbs up to Round Table.
