The B6 starts on the A9 on the eastern fringe of the small village of Andreas and heads north along Oatlands Road, passing a small housing estate. It then curves round to the west, with a right turn leading out to the industrial areas on the old airfield, and heads back into the village, where it crosses the A17 at a roundabout. Another housing estate then lies behind the trees to the right, but soon the route is clear of the village and heads north west, winding gently across fields with occasional roadside houses. A sharp left hander is followed by a long, curving right and then another sinuous section leads to the end of the route on the A10.
History
As originally numbered in the 1920's, the western part of the route was given the B26 number, although this doesn't appear to have included Oatlands Road. It had been renumbered as the B6 by 1963, which does include Oatlands Road.
