For the later B32 north of Ballasalla, see B32 (Ballasalla - Ballamodha).
For the current B32 at Union Mills, see B32 (Isle of Man).
The original B32 was a short lived route which connected Castletown and Ballasalla via Derbyhaven. By 1937, the number had been re-used to the north of Ballasalla, although the exact route taken is uncertain. As far as can be ascertained, the route started on the B19 in Ballasalla and headed north along Phildraw Road. As it is stated that it also passed Ballacharry, it must have continued north to reach Ballamodha. However, there is nothing to suggest that the final connection through the village to the old A4 was part of the route, or equally that it was part of any other route. It has to be assumed, therefore, that the B32 turned to meet the A4 here.
The listing in 1937 states that the B32 included the Bay - Ballagawne Road. At present, however, neither of these place names can be located in the vicinity of the presumed route of the B32 mainline, although both are fairly commonly found on the island. The only possible interpretation of this text identified so far is the current route of the B45, which runs from the shore of Bay ny Carrickey north to Ballagawne village. This, however, is in Rushen Parish, and runs about 5 miles to the west of the presumed route outlined above.
By 1963 the B32 had been renumbered. The southern part of the route is now the A34, while the northern part to Ballamodha is the B29. The connection to the A3 (the former A4) is part of the B30
