For the original B7, now the B3 west of Andreas, see B7 (Andreas - Jurby).
The B7 is essentially a long, wide, straight road with a couple of wiggles at the eastern end. It seems to be quite busy, despite not really serving any useful purpose except for the people who live along it. The route starts at a staggered crossroads on the A9 at Regaby and heads west along the imaginatively names Regaby West Road. A short straight leads to a snaking S bend, and then the main straight follows. It undulates a little, is bumpy, and has some very slight kinks meaning that the far end is out of sight, but there are no more bends as such. There are, however, numerous turnings and driveways leading off on either side, and with dappled sunlight coming through the trees, it is not a route to be driven fast. Towards the western end, the B14 is crossed at a crossroads, the B7 maintaining priority, and then half a mile further on the route comes to an end at a T junction on the A17.
History
As originally numbered in the 1920's, the route was given the B29 number. It had been renumbered as the B7 by 1963.
