B37 (Isle of Man)

The B37 crossing the A26 near Braaid

The B37 starts at a sharp west facing fork on the A24, a little to the west of Braaid Crossroads. It quickly narrows down to little more than single track as it gradually runs down hill, winding a little across the fields. Before long it reaches a crossroads with the A26 amongst houses. Continuing ahead, it stays narrow as it winds round to head south, climbing up past the Chibbanagh Plantation, reaching a summit of around 180m. It then drops down across fields to a junction, after which the road becomes two-way for the final run to the end. The route terminates at a T junction on the A5 at Newtown.

Some maps show the section between the A24 and A26 as unclassified, and it does appear that this was originally the case. However, the B37 was subsequently extended many years ago to reach the A24.
