The B16 is a short route which heads south through the scenic Glen Auldyn to the west of Ramsey. It starts at a T junction on the A3 at the western edge of the town and heads south past the Milntown Estate, winding along with the river, although there are generally houses between the road and river. Most of the properties in the glen are large detached houses, perhaps some of the most desirable on the island, hidden behind trees and hedges. After nearly a mile, the route reaches a junction opposite an old chapel. So far the road has been wide enough for two cars to pass, but the route ahead rapidly narrows, while the right turn also narrows as it crosses the river and continues further up the glen. The B16 ends at this junction.
