The B56 is one of a group of very strange and very short B roads in Onchan. It follows the full length of Royal Terrace, starting on the A11, along the Promenade at Port Jack and crossing the Manx Electric Railway at a level crossing. Almost immediately, the B57 comes in from the right in front of a parade of shops, while the B56 runs north east to the next junction. It ends here, with the B55 coming in from the left on Falkland Drive.
