The C1150 runs along the north shore of Loch Morar near Mallaig. It starts on B8008 on the banks of the River Morar, just below the power station and heads east, following the river bank to the head of the loch by the Catholic Church for Morar Village. The road then continues east along the north shore of the loch for nearly 3 miles, past the hamlet of Bracora to the equally tiny Bracorina. Here, the road opens out into a parking area, which is well used by walkers who continue along the shore of the loch to Swordland, Tarbet and Loch Nevis. There are several houses along the banks of the loch, on both sides, which are reached only by boat.
