The C1246 is, in its entirety, the former A852 on Skye. It starts on the A851 at Isleornsay village, and runs down to the pier on the natural harbour which is sheltered by the Isle of Ornsay. The start of the road was realigned when the A851 was improved in the mid-2000s, and prior to that the road had still been signed as the A852.
