This article is about the Class III road numbered C156 maintained by DfI Roads.

For other roads numbered C156, see C156.
The C156 forms a western bypass around the modern housing areas of Craigavon starting on the A3 at Lakes Roundabout. From here the road swings round to the south east and meets a roundabout from which it continues around the edge of the town heading south. The road turns to the east and comes across a junction beyond which is the C154. Shortly south of this junction, the C156 resumes by turning south east off of the C154 after leaving the bypass itself. The remainder of the route is formed by a more traditional road as it crosses over to the village of Bleary. After passing the end of the C155 at the eastern end of the village, the road ends on the B3 between Lurgan and Gilford.
